Thought I would share some of my thinking behind the owl and the little logo image I created for my business. I have always loved the owl as linked to the Goddess Athena and wisdom. The owl has been a guide for me for a long time as has the wolf (as teacher and guide in the American Indian belief). I chose the owl as I definitely need wisdom to build my artist identity in a way that is powerful and genuine so I attract the right cliental. Of course, this is about life long learning and I always need guidance so the wolf is always there but in this case not seen. This is a close up section of a larger painting (Dreamscape) as that seemed to work well on its own and conveyed a sense of gentleness and strength as the owl gazes out. The circle or moon in the background is always possibilities and the star is hope. The image contained the elements that best represented me in my business journey and was a way of taking another step I. Building my professional identity. I used the Phoster app to add text, so I can then use it on its own. I also used medium to attach the image to small canvas squares which I enhanced with walnut ink and paint. This has given me options of ways to add it to the final works as part of the professional presentation.
