The artworks on the wall at BSG.
I went to Brunswick St Gallery for the second opening(a bit like “second breakfast ” I guess …if you get the reference ). I didn’t feel like the crowds that I knew I would get last Saturday night so I skipped that but the second event was a great idea and an opportunity to catch up with a good friend. It is always nice to see how your art transforms on a gallery wall and a quieter social event is much more attractive in the middle of a hectic school term and I got to see the amazing variety of works that BSG had at their exhibitions in the rambling space of this old building. Good art and a nice meal with a close friend is a wonderful way to spend a Friday night leading into the weekend. They have called it the ‘ Special Art This Way event’ from 6-8 pm. This links in beautifully with the Melbourne Arts Fair at the Royal Exhibition Buildings from the 13 th to the 17 th of August….so an art saturation weekend sounds good. Hope you get your art quota this weekend…I do hope you get to enjoy the opportunity to if you are a Melbourne local.
