I am increasing my daily walking as I am going on the overland hike in Tasmania with my husband. Not my usual outing but my husband is an avid hiker. I will be doing the hiking luckury version which means after 3-6 hrs hiking we stay in a cabin with showers,a cooked meal, wine and a basic bed. So I am building my fitness and have bought lots of ugly hiking clothes…I like flowing and feminine and am not a pants and sports top type of girl. Anyway, the nice thing is that I am doing lovely walks at Kakarook park which is a lovely parkland with a lake and birds. This is a lovely way to balance the challenge level of new adventures in New Years. Lots of new possibilities to explore.
Now my early mornings are peaceful walks, birds, and trees and I don’t arrive at work quite so early. I love seeing the blue wrens flitting through the low tree branches and the swallows skimming the grassed areas. I love long shadows, sunshine and blue skies. On the water are a variety of birds, but as I cross the small bridge I look down and see a duck sleeping on a rock. Took the photo with my iPhone through the support beams of the bridge and am thrilled with how well it worked out.
