This is a piece I have been developing. She has slowly come to life. She is another piece for the BSG small works exhibition. These are the progression photos for today. I added detail to the face, used transfers, glazes and dots and line work to bring her to life. After many revisions she has come to life. I love the energy the red gives. Playing with the partially covered face is also a good way to move the image into a different space….and yes she needed to be happier. She was a bit serious. I think there is more of a sense of calm and stillness now which is more the direction I wanted to go.
