Angel becoming…
The next phase of exploration.
She started off as a simple exploration and has become an angel. After such a hard term I think I needed to call the angels back into my life. I definitely had fun with thick blobs of paint and softer layers in the face. I love the golden fluid acrylics as the colours have a beautiful intensity. I used quinacridone nickel Azo gold and quinacridone crimson. Two of my favourites. I love the journey but it is so nice to step back and see what I have done and what I have learnt. I feel like a new freedom is appearing in my work which is good. I look at the 2 stages below and realise I need to add some extra highlights to the final. I love the fact that a photo can help you step back and see the art work with new eyes.
