Today was a lovely afternoon in the studio as I reworked an angel painting. She has changed from an angel in bright sunshine to a different feel. She is a much stronger painting now but it is always scary and exciting as you make changes to a piece that you had thought finished and had already been published in the 2017 Angel calendar. As always change is always possible until a piece leaves but my current learning is challenging me to continue evolving and work on whatever piece calls to me. I remind myself that it is the process and why I discover along the way that is important and not the finished product. Sometimes I resist as I get caught up in the idea of a piece being finished but most of the time I get over my ego and let go and usually I am rewarded by the unexpected.
